Lets Talk about Ulcers

ADRC invites you to the first in a series of winter talks covering a variety of subjects which involves both Horse & Rider.
The first will be an evening with Jennie Staddon from Ridings Vets & Lizzie Reid of Top Spec.
The theme of the evening will be ‘Equine Ulcers’ and each of our speakers will be giving you an informative insight into the problems horse owners face daily.

Tickets will include a pie & pea 🍲 supper. Drinks will be available.
This is open to members and non members of BRC. Tickets can be bought through Horse Events - via link on ADRC website OR from any committee member @ Members SJ Saturday 13/10/18. Members training @ Moorhouse Tuesday’s & Thursdays @ Moorhouse EC.

Arena TREC Training 

When:  21st November 2018                                     Moorhouse Equestrian Centre

                                                                          Gap Farm, Moorhouse, Doncaster, DN76HA.

Training for those interested in competing in Arena TREC over the winter.

Sessions start at 5pm and there will be a maximum of 6 people in a group.

Training will be carried out by Dave and Sheila Rogerson

Cost is £10 per person - contact Sheila for details

There is an Arena TREC competition on 25th November at Moorhouses, organised by White Horse Trec Group - members & non members are welcome!

BRC Riding Test & Style Jumping clinic

When:  29th May                                      Manor Grange, Criddling Stubbs, Wakefield
Riding test & Style Jumping Training day.
This day is aimed to help riders understand what the judges are looking for.
Both trainers will discuss the rules and the format of each competition.
The Riders will warm up in a free arena then ride the current BRC RT either Prelim or Novice level where Claire Marie Senior who will mark the test on the official score sheet. Claire will discuss it and give feed back then work on any appropriate sections.
Each rider will have a break for a tack check/ change etc then move to an enclosed arena for Style Jumping. Riders can either team up with a second rider or ride in a 1to1 session for the Style Jumping with Margaret Smith, who is a current Style judge.
The course will be similar to that of an official BRC ‘Q’ Style Jumping Competition.

This day will be useful to anyone who intends competing at the Area 4 Summer Show in July @ REC.

Cost per rider:
ADRC members to include both sections - £45
non ADRC Members to include both sections - £50

XC Training with Helen Bell

When:  21st May                                      Breckenbrough, Near Thirsk

Perfect for anyone aiming to compete at Area 4 Horse Trials Qualifier in June, but this training is open to all members.

XC clinic with BE coach Helen Bell over BE XC courses 80 90 100 tracks Monday 21st May, afternoon and evening slots available .
All levels and experience catered for - £48 per horse groups of 4

XC Schooling & Speed Training
with Ian R Bennett at Epworth

Members only XC training with Ian Bennett. This will be useful for anyone intending to compete at Area 4 Show Cross @ Epworth 
Everyone welcome at all levels
Groups of 4 riders 1 1/2hrs duration per group
£40 per rider payable on Horse Events to secure your place
All riders must wear appropriate clothing BRC approved head and body protection & an uptodate medical arm band.

Each rider will be required to complete an information and disclaimer form for Epworth EC before riding. These will be available once you have booked your place.

Show Preparation with Kathryn Parker
(Members Only)

When:  11th April at 18:00                                         Where: Ackworth RDA
Everything you wanted to know about turning your horse out for the show ring or just to give him a spruce up.
This will be a hands on evening so come come prepared!
Spacers available 12 @ £5 each. More dates will be organised depending on demand 👍🏻
There will be refreshments and I heard maybe a bun or two...nom nom😋🍰

WHEN: from 10.00 to 21.00

As we lose the day light it's time to move indoors! ADRC offers training for it's grass roots members and those competing at all levels. If you have a young horse just stating out or want to improve your test technique to gain higher marks Come and join us.

Your accredited coach can work on a 1 to 1 or with groups upto 4 riders of similar ability.

The cost of the sessions include your accredited coach, arena hire with lights. Moorhouse is light and airy and hosts both long and short arenas.
1 to 1 £45
2 riders £25 each
3 riders £17.50
4 riders £12.50

NEW for this winter - Polework and Flatwork training will be held on alternate weeks

Cancellation policy:
if you cancel your slot with less than 48hrs notice and your slot cannot be filled, then your fee is still payable. 

Moorhouse arena is wonderful to ride in, and certainly beats those cold dark nights outside.

Showjumping Training- Sue Hobson

WHEN: Thursday Nights

Sue Hobson, British Showjumping UKCC Level 2 Trainer

Showjumping training takes place on Thursday evenings for riders at all levels.  We aim to place riders in ability groups from those just starting out to more ambitious riders working on improving performance and results.  Training sessions start at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and later if the demand is high enough. 

Price is £15 if 4 in a group, £20 if 3 in a group for 1 hour and £25 private for half hour.  Lessons can include grid work, jumping a course, riding a jump off, novice sessions for novice/nervous horse or rider just phone or text to discuss your needs, jump training can be very very flexible to cater for all our members needs!
